I've heard of this product before. Buy.com currently has a pretty good deal on it (unfortunately shipping isn't free). Plug an appliance into this unit and get a readout of the Kilowatts consumed by it. Might be a worthwhile investment to plug up those 'electric leaks'. Shipping is about $7.

There are links to question & answer pages as well as information to help previous non-filers get the rebate (as noted in my previous post). There is an example (kind of vague) showing low income filers how to fill out form 1040A.
